Who we are

An African export house built around the boring part

Bludeck Sourcing & Trading Co. Ltd supplies palm, coconut and charcoal products sourced from Africa and gets them to buyers abroad in the condition that was agreed.

We are not a broker forwarding your enquiry to someone else. We stand in the warehouse. We check the moisture. We watch the container being stuffed. When something is wrong, you hear it from us first.

Alongside the bulk trade, we run a personal shopping service for African foodstuffs, because the same discipline that protects a container of shells also protects a box of garri going to a family in London or Houston.

The part buyers never see

Most buyers do not lose money on price. They lose it on the load.

Anyone can send you a good sample.

A clean photo. A neat little bag. A moisture reading that looks perfect. You approve it, you pay, and then the container lands weeks later carrying something else.

We have seen that story from the other side. Buyers reach out to us already tired. Not tired of Africa. Tired of being surprised.

That gap between the sample and the shipment is where the money goes. Not in the negotiation.

So we asked the buyers who came to us what actually went wrong last time.

None of that is a farming problem. All of it is a handling problem. So we built the company around the handling.

Before the doors close

You see the actual goods, not a stock photo

Before any container is sealed we send photos and video of the real stock and the real stuffing. If a batch does not hit the spec, we tell you before it ships.

That is an awkward call to make. We would rather make it than lose a client.

The food from home, bought properly and packed properly

Being far from home is one thing. Paying three times the price for garri that arrives crushed is another.

We shop for you at the same markets we buy from every week. You send a list. We send back photos of what we actually bought, and our fee on top. Nothing hidden inside the price.

Then we pack it so it survives the trip. Flours double bagged. Oils sealed and boxed. Beans sifted before they go in.

Not on the list? Send it anyway. If it is sold in an African market, we can usually find it.

STEP 1

Send your list

Message us on WhatsApp with what you want and where it is going. Rough lists are fine.

STEP 2

We price it and buy it

You get market prices, our fee shown separately, and photos of the actual items in our hands.

STEP 3

We pack and ship

Packed to survive the journey, sent by air or sea, tracking sent to you the day it leaves.

PROCESS
How we run a load

Six steps, in this order, every time

No step here is clever. Skipping any one of them is how a shipment goes wrong.

1

We agree the spec in writing

Moisture, ash, size, packaging, quantity, port. Nothing vague, nothing verbal.

2

We apply farmgate and mill model

Fewer hands on your goods means less mixing, better traceability, and a better price for you.

3

We do proper screening

Not to a feeling. To the figure we wrote down with you, with fines screened out before bagging.

4

We test before loading

Independent inspection is welcome. Bring your own agency or share the cost with us, your call.

5

We show you the load on camera

Photos and video of the actual goods and the actual stuffing, sent before the doors close.

6

We handle the paperwork

Certificate of origin, quality certificate, phytosanitary where needed, bill of lading. On time, because late documents cost more than most people expect.

WHY BLUDECK
Why buyers stay

What we do differently, in plain terms

You talk to a person

One number, answered by someone who knows where your goods are today. Not a ticket system.

Proof before payment where possible

Photos, video, test results and inspection access. You should never be guessing what is in the box.

One supplier, several lines

Palm, coconut and charcoal from one contract and one contact, instead of three suppliers and three risks.

Small orders taken seriously

Trial orders and part loads are welcome. Every long relationship we have started as a test shipment.

Paperwork done on time

Documents prepared alongside the goods, not after them, so your container does not sit waiting at port.

We say no to bad batches

Turning down a load costs us a sale. Shipping it costs us a client. We know which one hurts longer.

FAQ
Straight answers

Questions buyers ask us first

What quantities do you handle?
Full containers, part loads and trial orders. Tell us the volume you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold that spec at that quantity, or what a realistic first shipment looks like.
Can I inspect the goods before shipment?
Yes. Bring your own inspector or use a third party agency such as SGS or Cotecna. We will schedule loading around their availability and share the results with you either way.
What are your terms?
FOB on request. Payment terms are agreed per order and per volume. We will put everything in writing before you commit anything.
How long does shipping take?
It depends on the destination and the shipping line. We give you a realistic window at quotation rather than a hopeful one, and we tell you as soon as anything moves.
Which specifications can you supply?
Ask for the spec sheet on the product you want. We will send the ranges we can actually hold consistently, not a wish list. If your requirement is tighter than that, we will say so.
Do you ship personal shopping orders worldwide?
We ship to most destinations by air and sea. Send us your city and the weight you have in mind, and we will confirm the options, the timing and the cost before you pay anything.
